How we work
The engagement path
A practical map of how we move from first conversation to issued opinion, written for controllers who have to brief their teams.
Scoping call
We review entity structure, reporting framework, prior-year issues, and the reader of the report. You leave with a fee range and a draft request list, not a vague promise to “align later.”
Engagement letter
Scope, responsibilities, independence terms, fee schedule, and estimated fieldwork window are written down. Work does not start until both sides sign.
Planning
Materiality, significant risks, and sample approach are set against your trial balance shape. Inventory count dates and confirmation mailing paths are locked early.
Fieldwork
Walkthroughs, substantive tests, and inquiries happen against live books. We flag documentation gaps the week they appear, not in a surprise dump at completion.
Completion and opinion
Subsequent events, representation letter, draft management letter, and opinion issuance follow a shared checklist. Your board pack should not discover findings for the first time in the hallway.
